Job Description
New York City \| Full-Time \| In-Office, 5 Days/Week
Our client, a growing luxury DTC consumer brand, is looking for a
Graphic Designer
to join its New York City team with a primary focus on email and digital creative.
This is an opportunity for a designer who wants more than a production role. We're looking for someone who cares about the
why
behind great creative—someone who combines strong visual instincts with an understanding of the customer, the brand, and how creative ultimately performs.
You'll work closely with the marketing and creative teams to design and build weekly email campaigns, evolve lifecycle flows, and bring the brand to life across digital touchpoints. As you learn the brand and build trust, you'll have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of the work.
What You'll Do
- Design and build weekly email campaigns and lifecycle flows
- Translate campaign concepts into compelling, on-brand digital creative
- Build and update campaigns and flows within Klaviyo
- Select, edit, and optimize imagery for digital use
- Partner with marketing and copy to create cohesive campaign messaging
- Maintain consistency across imagery, typography, layout, and overall brand aesthetic
- Create GIF assets from video for email and digital channels
- Use A/B testing, engagement, conversion, and other performance insights to improve creative
- Stay current on email design, digital creative, and lifecycle marketing best practices
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of relevant graphic design experience
- A strong portfolio demonstrating digital design capabilities;
email campaign and layout examples are required
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Excellent typography, composition, and layout skills
- Previous experience designing email campaigns
- Ability to edit and prepare imagery and create GIFs from video assets
- Strong understanding of digital design best practices and exceptional attention to detail
- A self-starter who wants to understand the objective behind an assignment—not simply execute it
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving environment where you may need to figure things out and take initiative
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a similar email marketing platform
- Experience with an eCommerce/DTC brand or agency supporting eCommerce clients
- Fashion, footwear, beauty, luxury, or adjacent consumer-brand experience
- Familiarity with email analytics, A/B testing, and optimization
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Premiere Pro, or After Effects
Who Will Thrive Here
You're curious about
why
creative works, not just whether it looks good. You have strong design fundamentals and taste, but you're equally interested in what resonates with customers.
You're proactive and resourceful. Once you understand the objective, you can think about what should happen next without waiting for every step to be assigned.
You'll also enjoy the ownership that comes with a smaller, entrepreneurial company. This isn't a highly layered creative organization—you'll work closely with the team, learn the brand firsthand, and have the opportunity to grow from a collaborative contributor into someone trusted with meaningful creative autonomy.
This is a five-day-per-week, in-office role in downtown Manhattan.
Our client values close, in-person collaboration, particularly as new team members learn the brand and how the creative team works.
Please apply with your resume and
portfolio, including examples of email design and layouts
.
Your portfolio doesn't need to look exactly like our client's brand. We're looking for strong fundamentals, thoughtful creative decision-making, and the ability to understand a brand and translate it into compelling work.
