Compensation:

$220k–$270k base \+ up to 15% bonus \+ 3–5% equity

We’ve partnered with a breakout, VC-backed B2B SaaS company reinventing how revenue and operations teams work. Just 15-20 people today, the company has already landed major enterprise logos, recently opened a new San Francisco HQ, and is now entering its next phase of growth.

This is a rare chance to join early as

Head of Engineering

with full ownership across the team, architecture, and execution. You’ll work directly with the founder/CEO - formerly Stripe - alongside Product and GTM leadership to scale both the platform and the company from an already strong commercial foundation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team
• Stay hands-on when needed through PR reviews, architectural problem-solving, and occasional coding.
• Own technical strategy, architecture, and data models
• Partner with the founder, Product, and GTM on delivery and implementations
• Coach engineers, run PR reviews, and unblock complex challenges
• Build an AI-first engineering culture and workflows
• Manage and mentor 7\+ engineers and contractors

What They’re Looking For

• 10\+ years experience with at least 2\+ years of engineering management experience
• Hands-on engineering leader who’s still comfortable getting into the weeds - reviewing PRs in detail, unblocking engineers, and occasionally jumping in to ship code when needed.
• Strong architecture and team-scaling background in startups
• Comfortable in early-stage, high-ownership environments
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Postgres (or similar)

US-based candidates only. On-site SF presence required (5 days/week).
