Role Overview

At a defining inflection point where AI is reshaping wealth management at its core, Noah Holdings is seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer who combines strategic foresight with engineering execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CTO will own the company's entire global technology agenda — from AI strategy to platform architecture, data and risk infrastructure, and a 200\+ person engineering organisation. This is a rare opportunity to be the technology architect of the next chapter of the world's leading Chinese wealth management platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's technology strategy, ensuring full alignment with Noah's global business expansion and AI transformation agenda; act as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on technology matters
• Lead the deployment of large language models and AI capabilities across wealth management use cases, including intelligent advisory, client profiling, risk prediction, and compliance automation, driving differentiated product competitiveness
• Architect and build the company's fintech core systems — including iCRM, trading platforms, and data infrastructure — to support compliant, cross-border operations across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee cloud architecture and infrastructure modernisation to ensure high availability, scalability, and regulatory compliance across global nodes (mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and beyond)
• Establish a data-driven risk management framework, advancing quantitative risk models and intelligent monitoring platforms aligned with local regulatory requirements in each market
• Build and lead a 200\+ person high-performing engineering organisation; create talent pipelines, cultivate engineering culture, and attract top-tier technical talent to Noah
• Partner with business, product, compliance and operations leadership to ensure technology and business objectives are tightly aligned; manage technology budgets and resource allocation

Requirements

Must-have

• 15\+ years of technology experience, including at least 5 years in a senior technology leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent)
• Proven track record in fintech systems building with deep understanding of wealth management, asset management, or financial services business logic and regulatory requirements
• Hands-on experience taking AI/LLM products from concept to scale in financial services — not just evangelism but real production deployment
• Extensive people leadership experience managing 200\+ engineers, with a demonstrated ability to drive complex technology programmes cross-functionally and on time
• Business-fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken); proven ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones

Nice-to-have

• First-hand experience scaling a fintech startup from zero to one or through a high-growth phase; comfortable making high-stakes technology decisions under resource constraints
• Practical knowledge of technology compliance and data privacy across multiple jurisdictions, especially HK, SG, and mainland China
• Prior CTO experience at a listed company or in a Pre-IPO environment, with familiarity of governance requirements that come with public company status
