Job Description

Do you get excited about using Excel and Power BI to turn messy, manual processes into sleek, efficient engines?

As an HR Analytics Intern at arrivia, you won’t just be crunching numbers, you’ll be a data architect and a detective. You will work with real-world human resources and organizational data to bridge gaps between systems, build automated reporting, and help us turn raw data into executive-level insights.

At arrivia, we are redefining travel-tech. This isn’t a shadowing role; it is a hands-on opportunity to navigate the "manual drag" of a complex HR ecosystem and help us prepare for future system transitions.

What You’ll Do

  • Data Detective Work: Dive into HR records and people data to ensure accuracy and identify where disconnected data flows might be hiding.
  • Visual Storytelling: Build functional dashboards and automated reporting in Power BI to present workforce trends in a way that is compelling and easy for leadership to act on.
  • Excel Mastery: Leverage advanced Excel skills to manipulate large datasets, audit existing records, and eliminate manual work through smarter formulas and formatting.
  • Process Optimization: Identify gaps in our current HR data workflows and propose automated solutions that drive operational excellence across our global team.
  • System Bridge-Building: Assist in auditing our current environment, helping to ensure that information flows cohesively across our various modules and sub-projects.

Why arrivia?

  • Technical Edge: Gain resume-building experience in a corporate environment that is actively prioritizing data integrity, Power BI, and automation.
  • High Visibility: Your work will directly impact executive-level strategy and how we manage our most important asset: our people.
  • Direct Mentorship: Collaborate daily with experienced leaders who will help you bridge the gap between academic theory and professional execution.
  • Vibrant Scottsdale HQ: Build your network and professional skills on-site at our beautiful North Scottsdale headquarters.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work with a global team that stays curious, keeps it real, and wins together.

Requirements

  • Current Student: Pursuing a degree in Business Data Analytics, HR Management, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative field (Junior or Senior standing preferred).
  • Excel Expert: You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel—pivot tables, complex formulas, and data manipulation are your playground.
  • BI Familiarity: Hands-on experience or coursework in Power BI; you don't just run reports—you want to build them from scratch.
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy the "detective work" of data—finding out why a report doesn't match and fixing the root cause.
  • Data-Driven HR Interest: A genuine interest in human resources data, organizational health, or workforce analytics.
  • Strong Communicator: You can translate technical data into clear, professional recommendations for your team.
