Job Description
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing HR support for attorneys and staff across the firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Resolve HR inquiries with assistance as needed on benefits, compensation, performance evaluations, worker’s compensation, staff recruiting, policies and procedures, and leaves.
- Technical acumen required; Experience with HRIS, UKG Ready is preferred.
- Comfortable using AI as a resource in HR.
- Update employee information, enrollments, terminations, and benefit changes.
- Understanding compliance processes that can include leave of absences, COBRA administration, and ADA accommodation requests is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- A 4-year degree in Human Resources or related education is required.
- 5\+ years of Human Resources experience.
- 5\+ years of experience in benefits, FMLA, compensation, and leaves; compliance experience a plus.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to safeguard confidentiality.
- Knowledge of HR and experience with an HRIS, preferably UKG.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service required, ability to timely respond to demands while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail.
