Job Description

Serve as a key HR contact for employees and supervisors on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance concerns, and policy interpretation. Based on general knowledge.

Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, leave laws, and other state and federal employment requirements. Based on general knowledge.

Support and help administer workplace safety programs in partnership with operations leadership to promote OSHA compliance and a safe work environment. Based on general knowledge.

Manage and coordinate workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work processes, and communication with employees, managers, and third-party administrators. Based on general knowledge.

Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and employee training initiatives for hourly and salaried staff. Based on general knowledge.

Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal and company requirements. Based on general knowledge.

Partner with managers to provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, and employee engagement efforts. Based on general knowledge.

Support HR policy implementation and ensure consistent application across the organization. Based on general knowledge.

Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and HR projects as needed. Based on general knowledge.

Foster a positive employee experience and help build strong working relationships across production, operations, and leadership teams. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent professional experience with PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification will also be considered. Based on general knowledge.

Minimum 5\+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Based on general knowledge.

Extensive knowledge of California labor law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices. Based on general knowledge.

Hands-on experience with OSHA compliance, workplace safety programs, and workers’ compensation administration. Based on general knowledge.

Strong background in employee relations, including investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution. Based on general knowledge.

Bilingual in Spanish and English required, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse employee population. Based on general knowledge.

Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Based on general knowledge.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications. Based on general knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting a large hourly workforce in a multi-shift manufacturing environment. Based on general knowledge.

Knowledge of leave administration, benefits support, and talent acquisition processes. Based on general knowledge.

Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred. Based on general knowledge.
