The role itself is broad and hands-on in equal measure. You'll have real ownership of the people agenda across the site, from attraction and retention right through to development, engagement and employee relations - while also playing a key role in supporting the business through ongoing change and growth.

A strong focus of this role is employee relations in a unionised environment, and coaching and supporting managers to build real confidence and capability in handling people matters effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Sitting on the site leadership team and acting as the HR lead for Cork
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle - attraction, development, engagement and exit
  • Leading on employee relations - investigations, disciplinaries, mediations and conflict resolution
  • Building and maintaining an effective working relationship with union representatives
  • Coaching and supporting managers on performance, conduct and day-to-day people matters
  • Driving engagement, talent development and succession planning
  • Leading workforce planning, performance reviews and talent reviews
  • Supporting organisational change and ensuring consistent application of HR policy
  • Using Fusion (HR system) to support reporting, processes and compliance

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Solid HR Manager or HRBP experience in a fast-paced environment
  • A background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, pharma or similar
  • Experience working in a unionised setting would be a real advantage
  • Confidence operating at leadership level and influencing senior stakeholders
  • A strong employee relations background with hands-on experience of complex cases
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly at all levels
  • Someone who's highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities

If you're an experienced HR professional looking for a role where HR genuinely sits at the heart of how the business operates day-to-day - this could be a really strong next move.
