About Agile Retail

Agile Retail is seeking a highly experienced and operationally strong HR Generalist to support our fast-paced, high-volume retail and field workforce. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless HR operations across large, distributed teams nationwide.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth, high-volume environment and brings strong experience in employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This individual must be proactive, detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR execution.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations \& Workforce Support

  • Serve as a primary HR partner for managers and field leadership teams across multiple markets
  • Provide guidance on performance management, corrective action, investigations, and conflict resolution
  • Manage high-volume employee relations matters with consistency, professionalism, and compliance
  • Ensure fair and equitable application of policies and procedures

Onboarding \& Offboarding

  • Oversee and optimize high-volume onboarding processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience
  • Manage pre-employment requirements including offer letters, background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire documentation
  • Partner with Recruiting and Operations to ensure timely onboarding aligned with program launch timelines
  • Conduct exit processes including offboarding documentation, system access removal, final pay coordination, and exit interviews
  • Analyze exit trends to identify retention risks and recommend action plans
  • Ensure all onboarding and offboarding processes are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations

High-Volume HR Operations

  • Support a large, distributed hourly workforce in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity
  • Manage employment status changes including promotions, transfers, pay adjustments, and terminations
  • Respond to high-volume HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Compliance \& Risk Management

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Partner with leadership to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Support audits and ensure HR documentation and processes meet regulatory standards

Performance Management \& Leadership Support

  • Coach managers on employee development, performance improvement plans, and engagement strategies
  • Partner with leadership to drive accountability and performance standards
  • Support talent retention initiatives in a high-turnover environment

Process Improvement \& Scalability

  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows to support organizational growth
  • Contribute to HR initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Assist in developing and refining HR policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5–8\+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail, field marketing, staffing, or other high-volume environments
  • Strong experience managing onboarding and offboarding processes at scale
  • Extensive employee relations experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Experience supporting hourly and distributed workforces
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Applicants must be based in the San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas, TX metropolitan areas to be considered for this role.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred
