We are seeking an experienced and people-centered

Human Resources Generalist

to join our Talent \& Culture team. This role plays a key part in fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and compliant workplace while delivering a positive employment experience for team members across the organization. The HR Generalist will partner closely with leaders and employees to support onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations.

Minimum starting salary is $68,000

(compensation commensurate with experience and credentials)

your duties will include:

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment by modeling behaviors aligned with CORA’s mission and values
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource to employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee experience, learning and development, benefits, and compliance initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with department leaders, front-line supervisors, and managers; provide support, advice and coaching on HR practices, policies and procedures
  • Manage onboarding processes for internal transfers and promotions across all divisions, serving as the primary point of contact for transitioning employees and managers
  • Coordinate and manage the offboarding process for all exiting employees and contractors in compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Manage and help facilitate monthly new hire orientations and agency-wide Fall Fresh Start programming
  • Assist with benefits billing, audits, unemployment responses, and payroll-related activities
  • Monitor and triage inquiries received through the HR inbox, responding directly or escalating issues as appropriate
  • Perform HRIS administration tasks, including onboarding, status changes, and offboarding transactions
  • Stay informed on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory changes affecting employee records, onboarding, and HR practices
  • Collaborate with other members of the Talent \& Culture team on special projects and initiatives as assigned (e.g., agency-wide job description \& job architecture refresh, comprehensive performance management program development, facilitating training, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field required

+ Associate’s degree will be considered with additional years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably within social services, healthcare, education, or nonprofit environments
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and general HR practices
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with UKG (as an administrator or super user) strongly preferred

+ Solid working knowledge of another HRIS platform required
