Human Resources Generalist

Position Overview:

The HR Generalist supports daily human resources operations, including payroll processing, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This role partners with leadership to ensure efficient HR services while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and recruitment coordination.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, vendor communication, and open enrollment.
  • Serve as a resource for employee inquiries and support performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain personnel files and assist with HR projects and policy updates.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4\+ years of HR Generalist or HR-related experience
  • Demonstrated experience processing payroll using ADP
  • Knowledge of HR – FMLA, Cobra, Multi-state reporting, Payroll taxes
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience with ADP
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state organizations
  • Recruitment support
