HR Generalist – Austin, TX

HR Generalist Requirements \& Qualifications

  • Must be located in Austin or actively relocating to the area
  • 2\+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable learning and administering HRIS and talent management systems
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time

HR Generalist Preferred Background \& Skills

  • Human Resources certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
  • Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a must
  • Experience working in a growth-focused, multisite organization
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

HR Generalist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for team members and managers, providing guidance on policies, performance management, and workplace concerns
  • Support investigations and documentation around employee relations matters
  • Administer and optimize HRIS, ensuring accurate employee data and system integrity
  • Partner with HR leadership on solutions that align with company values and legal requirements
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and dashboards related to headcount, turnover, engagement, compliance, and compensation
  • Support HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and performance management
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with employment laws and best practices
