is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a client company’s
Human Resources Manager
based in Northern Nevada. The company employs 200 professionals in the Western Region U.S. Priority focus in this role is on corporate recruiting. Local Northern Nevada applicants will be given preference for interview and hire. This is an on-site role and not remote nor hybrid.
Summary:
A generalist human resources role responsible for managing employee relations, corporate recruiting / hiring / onboarding / offboarding, compliance / employment law, benefits / compensation, training \& development, workers’ compensation \& insurance, HRIS administration, performance plans, reporting and other HR duties assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and administers the strategy of various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Implements and updates the compensation program annually; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
- Manages Corporate Recruiting/Talent Acquisition in a hands-on manner responsible for hiring and onboarding medical professionals and other administrative staff members.
- Supervises 2 direct reports - HR Generalist and Corporate Recruiter.
- Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resources function (e.g., EEO, FLSA, ADEA, ADA, etc.). Monitors exposure of the property. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves all information submitted. Acts as primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies.
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
- Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
- Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
- Responsible for unemployment claims responses and attends unemployment appeal hearings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business
- SHRM or PHR certifications strongly preferred
- 4\+ years’ experience in Human Resources Management with focus in Corporate Recruiting/Talent Acquisition
- Fast-paced professional
- Experience developing HR policy \& procedures and strategic plans
- 2\+ years of Staff Management experience
Salary target $80K-$100K with 15% bonus potential designed on a combination of personal and company performance.
