Role Description

The HVAC Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at an RPM Living community in Brookhaven, GA. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including troubleshooting issues, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely. The technician will respond to resident service requests, perform routine preventive maintenance, and assist with general building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair as needed. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate maintenance records, following safety protocols, coordinating with the property management team, and supporting after-hours or emergency maintenance calls when required. The role also involves communicating clearly and professionally with residents and team members to support a high level of resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated HVAC maintenance and repair skills, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and routine preventive maintenance on residential systems.
  • Experience with general building maintenance, such as basic electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and overall facility upkeep.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, work orders, and equipment specifications, and to maintain accurate service records.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work professionally with residents, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of tools, PPE, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Relevant certifications such as EPA Section 608 (preferred or required depending on local regulations), and HVAC trade training or equivalent experience.
  • Reliable transportation to the Brookhaven, GA site and ability to participate in on-call or emergency response rotations as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in HVAC or building maintenance is beneficial.
