Role Description

This is a full-time / part-time remote role for an IB MYP / DP \| CIE \| Edexcel Chemistry Faculty member. The faculty member will plan and deliver engaging online chemistry lessons aligned with IB, CIE, and Edexcel curricula, ensuring conceptual clarity and strong exam preparation. Daily responsibilities include creating lesson plans, designing assessments, grading and providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records of student performance. The role involves mentoring students, addressing individual learning needs, conducting doubt-clearing sessions, and preparing learners for internal assessments and external examinations. The faculty member will collaborate with the academic team to refine teaching strategies, update content, and participate in training or curriculum development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong subject expertise in Chemistry with thorough understanding of IB MYP / DP, CIE, and Edexcel curriculum frameworks.
• Proficiency in online teaching tools, virtual classroom platforms, and creating digital learning resources.
• Excellent instructional, lesson-planning, and assessment design skills focused on inquiry-based and exam-oriented learning.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, structured manner.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and support students with diverse learning styles and academic goals.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience teaching IB, CIE, or Edexcel Chemistry, preferably in an online or blended learning environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in managing classes, deadlines, and student progress remotely.
