Import Operations Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Import Manager. As an Import Manager, you will oversee the import processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and handle the coordination of shipments from origin to destination. Responsibilities include managing relationships with vendors, terminals, and carriers, preparing and reviewing import documents, writing entries and a heavy focus on customs brokerage operations, resolving any issues that may arise during the import process. This role is located in Miami, FL, or Saddle Brook, NJ; can be remote for up to 25% of time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of import regulations and compliance, freight forwarding, and customs documentation
• Experience in entry writing and customs clearance
• Experience with Cargowise required
• Experience with HTS Classifications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Licensed Customs Broker a plus
• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
