In-house Copywriter

Salary:

£25,000 per annum

Location:

Leicester office - 3 days a week in-office, 2 remote

The Role

We’re looking for a copywriter to join us in-house and take ownership of the words that represent Rhino, on our website, in the press, and everywhere in between. You’ll write blog posts, guides, and product pages that make insurance genuinely useful (and readable), plus press releases and PR content that get us noticed.

You’ll be guided on the content we need, but we’re just as interested in what you bring to the table. We want someone who comes to us with ideas, spots opportunities before we do, and pushes our content to be sharper and more interesting than what everyone else in the sector is putting out.

What you'll be doing

• Writing and editing content for the Rhino website incl. blog posts, guides, FAQs, and product pages
• Drafting press releases and pitching story angles to press and media contacts, with genuine opportunity to grow into PR and journalism-style writing
• Bringing your own ideas and angles, not just working from a brief
• Working closely with our marketing and compliance teams to keep content accurate and on-brand
• Some light social media content and copy as needed
• Helping shape and evolve Rhino’s tone of voice as the brand grows
• Keeping an eye on trends in the trade industry and news that Rhino could credibly comment on

What we're looking for

• Proven copywriting experience, ideally including some in-house or agency work
• A portfolio that shows range: long-form content, snappy copy, and (bonus) press or PR writing
• Someone who can write with personality without sacrificing accuracy - insurance still needs to be right
• Comfortable turning technical or “boring” subject matter into something people actually want to read
• Proactive, not just reactive. We want you to bring ideas to the table
