In-house Counsel

For our client, we are seeking a In-House Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: New York, NY - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage outbound contracts, ensuring timely negotiation and execution
• Leverage AI and technologies to enhance contract performance
• Provide strategic support in structuring complex commercial agreements
• Advise leadership on legal implications of strategic initiatives
• Develop and refine scalable contracting processes and systems
• Mentor a high-performing contracts team to foster growth
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams including Sales and Finance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing
• 5\+ years of experience in SaaS and technology transactions
• Extensive experience with high-volume licensing and commercial contract negotiations
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance for data-centric SaaS businesses
• Proven leadership experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented settings
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
• Familiarity with CRMs and LMSs; keen interest in leveraging AI and new technologies
