Indirect Tax Analyst

What You’ll Do

As part of the tax team, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations compliant, efficient, and audit-ready:

• Own and maintain the sales \& use tax compliance calendar
• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns
• Support sales and use tax accruals and reconciliations
• Assist with federal and state income/franchise tax filings
• Conduct tax research to determine proper treatment of transactions
• Manage and respond to state tax notices
• Prepare and submit state tax registrations
• Partner with internal teams to gather documentation for audits and filings
• Support state and local tax audits, including responding to documentation requests
• Assist in preparing quarterly estimated tax payments
• Contribute to special projects across tax compliance, planning, and process improvement

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3\+ years of indirect tax experience
• Hands-on experience with multi-state sales and use tax compliance
• Familiarity with state income tax compliance and apportionment
• Experience working with ERP systems (Sage 100 is a plus)
• Exposure to Avalara preferred
• Strong Excel skills and overall MS Office proficiency
• Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment
