Industrial Electrician

Job Title: Shift Electrician

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Description:The objective of this individual will be to uphold the integrity of the manufacturing and facility equipment along with maintaining a professional environment within the department. The Maintenance department goals are to improve product output and quality to maintain a competitive edge in the paperboard packaging industry with a safe and skillful approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installation of new machinery and building equipment
• Troubleshoot high \& low voltage systems and breakdowns
• Pull wire \& EMT
• Read electrical Prints
• Work on electrical projects assigned
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Document activity in CMMS system (maintenance software)
• Equipment modifications as directed
• Other duties as assigned

Education / Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Additional electrical education and or certification is required. Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience in the following is preferred:

• Work with 3 phase 480Vac
• Work on low voltage ac and dc control systems
• Perform live electrical troubleshooting
• Comprehension of electrical schematics
• Troubleshooting PLC control systems
• Troubleshooting VFD and motion controls

Communication Skills / Requirements:

Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with management, peers and other employees. Have active listening skills, attention to detail and follow-through. Must demonstrate tact, professionalism, teamwork, flexibility, an organized approach to work and a positive attitude.

Safety:

All duties to be performed in compliance with the company guidelines and safety policies.

PPE: MUST wear ear plug hearing protection and safety glasses in designated areas.

Must be authorized to work in the United States
