Principal Architect – SRE \& Infrastructure Services

Location:

Hybrid – Tacoma, WA (2–3 days onsite)

Compensation:

$250K–$260K base \+ 30% bonus

Overview

We’re hiring a

Principal Architect

to lead the design of

SRE and platform infrastructure

for large-scale SaaS environments.

This is a

hands-on architecture leadership role (not people management)

where you will act as a

design authority

, building POCs, defining standards, and enabling engineering teams through internal platform tooling.

What You’ll Do

• Architect

CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes infrastructure, and observability systems

• Build and validate

POCs

, then hand off to engineering teams

• Own design standards as a

technical gatekeeper across platform services

• Drive

automation, reliability, and scalability

across cloud environments

• Lead adoption of

AI/GenAI tooling in SRE and operations

• Influence and mentor teams across engineering

What You Bring

• 15\+ years in

SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering

• Strong experience with:
• Kubernetes (platform/operator level)
• Terraform / infrastructure provisioning
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Flux, etc.)
• Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty)
• AWS \+ multi-cloud (GCP/Azure)
• Experience building

internal platforms / developer tooling (not product-only DevOps)

• Strong background in

distributed systems at scale

• Experience with

AI/GenAI in DevOps/SRE

• Programming in

Python, Go, Java, or C/C\+\+
