Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative supports customer engagement, sales operations, and order management through prompt communication, accurate quoting, and professional issue resolution. It involves analyzing sales and market data, assisting with pre-sales technical support, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers via phone and email with questions regarding orders, quotes, and pricing.
- Answer customers' questions about products, availability, or credit terms.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through friendly, engaging communication.
- Support
Regional Sales Managers
with preparing and providing accurate and timely quotes.
- Act as the
customer’s advocate
, ensuring that
quality and service-related concerns
are effectively addressed and resolved.
- Verify that delivery schedules meet customer deadlines and commitments
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance, collaborating with Engineering for product applications and technical expertise.
- Participate in customer visits and sales calls via phone, web conferencing, and occasional travel.
- Provide post-sales assistance by ensuring customers receive shipping documents and tracking information promptly.
- Issue invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with monthly/quarterly remittance goals.
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, finance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Other job related tasks as assigned.
Must Have Skills
- Experience with Fibre Optic cable and Telecom Industry
- Experience in customer facing customer service roles.
- Previous work experience at company active in the communications industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, and SAP
Other responsibilities include
- Take all actions required for delivering on the Telecom business objectives
- Ensure a high level of post-sales satisfaction and facilitation of long-term relationships and strong potential for repeat business.
- Prioritize activities according to revenue generation and corporate strategy to enable increased profitability
Qualifications \& Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Inside Sales and Customer Service within a manufacturing environment, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in the telecommunications or fiber optic cable industry is a plus
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
; familiarity with SAP and Sales Force or other Customer Relationship Management systems is a plus.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication is crucial for building rapport and closing deals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to understand customer needs and develop effective solutions.
- Sales Skills: Knowledge of sales techniques, closing deals, and managing objections.
- Organization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple leads, and meet deadlines.
