Job Description

We’re partnering with a large, notable publicly traded company to hire an

Internal Audit Manager or Senior Manager

. This individual will drive the end-to-end internal audit cycle — from planning and risk assessment to fieldwork and reporting — across both SOX 404 (financial and ITGC) and operational audits. The role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong project leadership skills, deep knowledge of financial controls, and a commitment to continuous improvement in audit practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute internal audit engagements from scoping through final reporting, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Perform risk assessments, develop testing strategies, evaluate controls, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
  • Utilize audit management tools (e.g., AuditBoard) to streamline workflows and monitor audit progress.
  • Maintain compliance with IIA standards and internal audit best practices.
  • Build effective partnerships with business leaders, process owners, and external auditors.
  • Support refinement of the co-sourced audit model and promote best practices across the audit function.
  • Drive innovative approaches to enhance audit coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of combined public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or corporate internal audit experience.
  • Proven background working with publicly traded companies and leading SOX compliance efforts, including new implementation projects.
  • Proficiency with audit management software and data tools such as AuditBoard or Power BI.
  • Strong time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Professional certification(s) such as CIA, CPA, or CISA preferred; advanced degree a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
