Job Description
The Hope High School Online Interventionist position is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing academic interventions for enrolled students. The Interventionist collaborates closely with HHSO staff in developing interventions tailored to students who do not meet grade-level standards on benchmark assessments (or by teacher referral). Coordination with Teachers, Advisors, and Administrators is crucial to achieving student success. This is a hybrid position that involves a blend of remote and in-person requirements;

OVERALL
ESSENTIAL
ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and track students in need of interventions
- Use transcripts, graduation plans, benchmark data, and 45-day screeners to identify students in need of interventions.
- Create intervention plans for students identified.
- Work with students in individual and small group settings
- Communicate effectively with students and parents
- Support the planning and implementation of benchmark testing
- Participate in school-level PLC teams
- Work with teachers in developing tier 2 interventions for students
- Lead through the Child Study Team (CST) process
- Start the CST process using 45-day screeners and Teacher Referral Forms
- Host CST meetings with families and HHSO staff
- Follow up as CST to determine results
- Support cohort of students required to take state testing
- Host learning opportunities for students in need of support based on benchmark scores.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Arizona Teaching Certificate (preferred)
- Highly Qualified
- SEI endorsed preferred
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a teaching position
- Proficiency in data collection, data analysis, and data evaluation
- Proficiency in high school-level mathematics
- Highly organized in tracking student proficiency and growth.
- Bachelor's (or higher) in Education
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to:
- Use a computer for several hours a day
- Answer phones (speaking and hearing)
- Sit for long periods of time
- Use their hands and fingers (to handle paperwork and equipment)
- Stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands
- Stoop, kneel, or crouch on occasion
- Lift items to 50 lbs.
- Be able to see items near and far (vision)

HOURS
- Full Time: 40 hours a week - 12 months a year
- Hybrid position: Most job tasks can be done completely remotely, with some in-person event requirements

SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Salary $45-$50k annually, based on experience
