  • Identify, troubleshoot, and permanently resolve data breaks or workflow failures

Workflow \& Process Design

  • Analyze existing operational workflows and identify opportunities for automation

  • Implement controls, checks, and logging to mitigate operational and trading risk
  • Document workflows, systems, and logic clearly for internal use

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with portfolio management, trading, operations, and compliance teams
  • Translate investment and operational requirements into technical solutions
  • Support ongoing enhancements as strategies, constraints, and account complexity develop

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, Power Query, structured models)
  • Strong working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, and workflow logic
  • Experience working with large, multi-account datasets
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of operational risk in trading environments
  • Ability to design, build, test, and maintain automation solutions independently
  • Certified CFA level 3 - Pass the three levels of the CFA exams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an RIA, asset manager, hedge fund, custodian, or trading operations role
  • Familiarity with portfolio management platforms such as Tamarac or similar systems
  • Experience with APIs, SQL, or cloud-based data tools
  • Exposure to trading workflows or customized portfolio implementations
  • Background in finance, economics, computer science, or a related field

Computer systems required:

Tamarac, Redtail, Excel Professional, Computer Science technician, preferably registered with a Series 65, RIA wealth management firm.

What Success Looks Like

  • Trade implementation processes are faster, more consistent, and less manual

  • We identify and resolve pre-trade issues before execution
  • Data accuracy and system reliability improve as account volume scales
  • Investment teams spend less time on operational cleanup
