Investment Analyst

Role Description

This is a full-time Investment Analyst role working directly with the founder.

The role spans the full investment process: sourcing opportunities, evaluating businesses, supporting deal execution, and working with portfolio companies. The expectation is high ownership and the ability to operate independently.

You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, building investment cases, and supporting strategic decisions across the portfolio. Speed and quality of thinking both matter.

This role requires the ability to operate with leverage, including the use of AI tools to improve sourcing, research, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities across consumer, retail, and adjacent sectors
• Use AI tools and workflows to generate and qualify deal flow
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and commercial due diligence
• Build financial models and investment memos
• Support deal execution, including diligence and structuring
• Monitor portfolio performance and support portfolio company initiatives
• Identify trends across consumer behavior, brands, and distribution

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, and venture capital.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve research, sourcing, or productivity
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment
• Clear and concise communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with consumer, retail, or e-commerce businesses
• Exposure to early-stage or growth investing
• Experience building or using automated workflows for research or sourcing
