About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing
Investment Analyst
to join our team, focused on
event-driven and capital markets strategies
across public and private special situations.
This role offers direct exposure to
live deal flow
, working closely with senior investors on the
sourcing, structuring, execution, and hedging
of transactions involving PIPEs, convertibles, warrants, and preferred securities.
You will operate in a fast-paced, high-conviction environment where
attention to detail, speed, and ownership
are critical.
What You’ll Do
- Support the structuring and execution of transactions across PIPEs, follow-ons, convertibles, warrants, and preferred securities
- Build and maintain
cap tables, waterfalls, and scenario-based financial models
- Analyze capital structures and evaluate risk/reward across different instruments
- Model conversion economics and manage workflows related to warrants and convertible securities
- Assist in hedging strategies, including monitoring
borrow/locate availability and costs
- Track market activity, filings, and event-driven catalysts (SPACs, de-SPACs, capital raises)
- Conduct diligence, maintain deal trackers, and coordinate with legal, operations, and compliance teams
- Participate in calls with management teams, banks, and counterparties
- Support post-trade processes including allocations, transfers, and registration tracking
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Investment Banking (ECM, LevFin, M\&A), or
- Hedge Funds / Credit / Structured Products
- Direct exposure to
capital markets transactions
(PIPEs, convertibles, warrants, preferreds)
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel (financial modeling, cap tables, sensitivities)
- Bloomberg proficiency
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
Knowledge \& Expertise
- Understanding of
capital structures and event-driven investing
- Familiarity with:
- Convertible securities and warrant mechanics
- Hedging concepts (delta, vega, short mechanics)
- Borrow/locate dynamics
- Rule 144 / 144A / Reg D / Reg S frameworks
