Job Description
Job Description: Sr. iOS Engineer
We’re looking for a scrappy, product-minded iOS Engineer who loves building fast, polished mobile experiences. In this role, you’ll help develop a fully native iOS app targeting iOS 17\+, shaping both its user experience and technical foundation. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring ideas to life—while collaborating with senior engineers who provide core infrastructure, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional UI and user experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Continuously build, ship, and iterate on a native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Own UI implementation end-to-end, turning designs into fast, fluid, and delightful user experiences.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable, high-performance code.
- Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness through testing and debugging.
- Build beautiful, responsive interfaces with smooth interactions and animations.
- Integrate third-party APIs and backend services to enhance app functionality.
- Stay up to date with the latest iOS development trends, tools, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements and quick iteration cycles.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience building iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Solid understanding of MVVM architecture and modern iOS design patterns.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and real-time data (e.g., WebSockets).
- Good understanding of async programming using Async/Await and how UI updates propagate on the main thread.
- Familiarity with iOS performance fundamentals (rendering, threading, memory), with curiosity to go deeper when needed.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Bias toward action—you enjoy shipping quickly, iterating, and improving based on feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-motivated growth mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Familiarity with Git and standard development workflows.
Bonus Points
- Experience working on security focused or media-heavy applications (images/video, AVFoundation).
- Prior experience in a startup, scale-up, or high-ownership environment.
