iOS Developer - SDE-3

Job Summary:

We are looking for an avid programmer and an engineer who is enthusiastic about building high-performance iOS applications. Someone who is aspiring to become an industry tech leader in the GIS stack. Knowing about GIS is optional if you can learn and adapt quickly. The candidate will facilitate requirement analysis, provide feedback and enhance software frameworks. The candidate is expected to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Kotlin, Dart, and other mobile development tools and frameworks.

About Product:

SiteRecon is the Amazon \+ Google Docs combination for maps. Users place an order to create a map. State-of-the-art AI does our data delivery with a humans-in-the-loop pipeline. This becomes the basemap to create survey notes, operations plans, cost estimates, and so on.

About the Market:

Although our technology applies to many applications especially related to the site-based operations industry, our Primary market is the landscaping industry in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The combined size of Industry in these 3 countries alone makes up a staggering $140B.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage the lifecycle of complex mobile application projects from conception to deployment.
• Design new functionalities and transition legacy systems to modern technologies.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
• Architect and design high-impact features and applications, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to outline technical feasibility and project timelines.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation to articulate design choices and educate stakeholders.
• Lead coding initiatives and oversee the development of new features and bug fixes, ensuring timely releases.
• Mentor mobile development teams, manage milestones, and enhance skill sets across the board.
• Set goals, track team productivity, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status.

Qualifications:

• Over 4 years of development experience within a team setting, with hands-on experience in iOS development with advanced proficiency in Swift and the Flutter framework, capable of crafting complex custom code.
• Deep understanding of IT standards, UX design principles, accessibility guidelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Git for source control management, including advanced branching and merging techniques.
• Ability to optimise app performance focusing on efficiency, RAM and CPU optimisation, data management and battery efficiency.
• Familiarity with concurrency best practices and common pitfalls.
• Exceptional communication skills; adept at writing and speaking.
• Strong team player open to feedback, with the ability to multitask and operate both independently and collaboratively.
• High standards for code quality and a robust commitment to leading development effort

We’d be impressed if you also have –

• Previously worked with Google Maps SDK for iOS
• Understanding of GIS tech
• Knowledge of writing Unit test cases
• Understanding of continuous integration
• Previous experience working with offline storage using Realm DB
