IT Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY
The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in connecting business needs with technology solutions that drive efficiency and growth. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, define requirements, and support the development of systems that improve how the organization operates.
In this role, you’ll gain exposure to end-to-end system development and business process improvement while working alongside both technical and business partners. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and energized by solving problems, influencing outcomes, and contributing to scalable, well-documented solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, clarify, and document business and system requirements
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for development teams
- Document workflows, business rules, and system requirements to support organizational knowledge and accessibility
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of new systems and enhancements
- Execute and validate workflows to ensure solutions align with defined business requirements
- Maintain and organize documentation within a centralized knowledge base for ongoing reference
- Collaborate with developers, project teams, and business partners to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Assist in prioritizing work and managing tasks to meet project timelines and business needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and user experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Business Process Analyst role preferred
- Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements is preferred
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration between technical and business teams is preferred
- Experience working in Agile environments is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly (both written and verbal) to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar, Meet)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively balance competing tasks
- Strong interest in learning internal systems, processes, and business operations
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices
- Familiarity with eCommerce concepts and technologies preferred
- Exposure to core business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Order Management preferred
- Basic knowledge of tools and systems such as SQL, ERP platforms (Infor/M3 or similar), Jira, and Tableau or other BI tools preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and contribute to solution development
