Business Systems Analyst / Vendor Management (L6)

📍 Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite per week)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Business Systems Analyst / Vendor Management professional

to play a critical role in bridging the gap between

business needs and technical solutions

. In this role, you will focus on evaluating, onboarding, and managing the vendors that power our business technology ecosystem.

You will translate complex business requirements into

technical specifications and sourcing decisions

, ensuring the solutions we implement scale with our rapid growth while meeting high standards for

security, reliability, and operational efficiency

.

This role will serve as a key connector between

Business Technology (BizTech), Procurement, and Security teams

, ensuring the right vendors, systems, and controls are in place before technologies go live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the

end-to-end technical vendor lifecycle

for business applications, including intake, evaluation, contracting, onboarding, performance management, renewal, and offboarding.

  • Partner closely with

Procurement

on RFPs, vendor selection criteria, commercial negotiations, SLAs, and contract terms.

  • Collaborate with

Security teams

on third-party risk assessments, security questionnaires, data handling reviews, and vendor compliance monitoring.

  • Serve as the

primary BizTech liaison

for Procurement and Security on vendor-related initiatives.

  • Drive

end-to-end delivery of technical projects

from conception through launch while coordinating vendor, procurement, and security stakeholders.

  • Configure and customize

business systems

, including workflows, user permissions, and integrations.

  • Create and maintain

system documentation

, vendor inventories, configuration specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Lead

knowledge management initiatives

to ensure institutional knowledge about systems and vendors is captured and accessible.

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for

automation, optimization, and vendor consolidation

.

  • Act as a liaison between

technical teams and business stakeholders

, translating technical concepts into clear business language.

  • Conduct

system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

for implementations and system updates.

  • Provide ongoing

support and training

for internal users.

  • Monitor

system performance, vendor SLAs, and usage metrics

to drive improvements and inform renewal decisions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure

business systems integrate effectively with other platforms

.

Required Qualifications

  • 5\+ years of experience

as a

Business Systems Analyst, Vendor Manager, or similar role

in a technology-focused environment.

  • Proven experience managing the

full vendor lifecycle

, including evaluation, contracting, onboarding, and performance management.

  • Experience partnering with

Procurement and/or Security teams

on vendor selection, contracting, and third-party risk reviews.

  • Comfortable reviewing and negotiating

commercial and technical contracts

, including

MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, and SLAs

in collaboration with Procurement and Legal teams.

  • Strong

analytical and problem-solving skills

with the ability to break down complex business processes.

  • Experience

configuring and customizing business systems

.

  • Strong experience with

requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical solutions

.

  • Exceptional

documentation and organizational skills

with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with

technical and non-technical stakeholders

.

  • Ability to thrive in a

fast-paced and evolving environment

.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working

within or alongside security organizations

.

  • Experience with

API integrations and iPaaS solutions

.

  • Background in

vendor risk management or third-party risk frameworks

.

  • Experience in

large enterprise technology environments

.

  • Passion for

process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency

.
