Java Backend Developer

Must-Have Skills

• Strong command (preferably Java 8\+) with a solid understanding of OOPs concepts
• Hands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem – including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, and Hibernate
• Proven expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Proficient with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL Server); able to write complex queries, stored procedures, and manage indexing strategies
• Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture, including service decomposition, API gateway patterns, centralized logging, and service discovery
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture tools such as:
• Docker for containerization
• Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling
• Spring Cloud Sleuth for distributed tracing
• Config Server, Eureka, Gateway, Ngnix,
• Load Balancer, Network Gateway.
• Container registry usage for managing and deploying container images
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, for deploying and managing microservices
• Comfortable working in Agile environments using tools like JIRA and Confluence Good-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with JSON/XML parsing libraries (Jackson, GSON, JAXB, etc.)
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies or JavaScript-based frameworks

Responsibilities

• Develop with a product-first mindset, suggesting enhancements to improve user experience
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to gather requirements.
• Write clean, reusable code following best practices and design patterns
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, BAs, Integration) to ensure smooth delivery
• Manage release cycles, including versioning, documentation, deployment planning, and signoffs.
• Prepare technical documentation, flow diagrams, and impact assessments
• Balance and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction

Qualification

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering (only IT and Computer Science)
