With three decades of experience in technology transformation, the company brings together expertise in agentic software development, application modernization, Data and AI, marketing technology, and business strategy.

AI is part of how Logoslabs works, learns, and innovates. The company supports an environment where experienced engineers can contribute to complex technology initiatives while sharing knowledge and helping teams continuously improve.
About The Role
Logoslabs is seeking a Senior Backend Java Developer to help evolve a cloud-based microservices ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a financial services context. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with strong execution skills, autonomy, and technical maturity. You will turn business requirements and technical direction into robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions.
Working closely with architects and technical leads, you will help shape implementation approaches, strengthen engineering quality, and support the reliable operation of services already in production. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from technical refinement and design through testing, deployment, and production support.
Qualifications
You bring strong professional experience developing backend applications with Java 8 or later and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, microservices, and synchronous and asynchronous integrations. You understand backend architecture principles such as Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, and common design patterns, and have practical experience with distributed systems, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
You have worked with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including data modeling, query development, and performance considerations, as well as have familiarity with NoSQL concepts. You are comfortable with Docker and Kubernetes; experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) is preferred. You have maintained CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and quality or security tools, and you understand deployment across development, staging, and production environments, including configuration and secrets management.
Your testing experience includes unit, integration, and REST contract testing, with familiarity with test-driven development. You can use observability practices involving logs, metrics, and traces to investigate production issues and identify root causes. You understand application security, including vulnerability remediation, authentication and authorization, encryption, and protection of sensitive data. You are proficient with Git workflows, pull requests, and code reviews, and regularly use AI tools to support coding, investigation, and documentation. Practical GCP experience with GKE, Cloud Run, or Cloud Functions is expected.
Experience in financial services, including payments, digital banking, credit, risk, or reconciliation, is an advantage. Familiarity with Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, Apigee, React or React Native for BFF design, and observability platforms such as Datadog is also beneficial.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve complex backend services and production microservices with a high degree of ownership. Translate business needs into straightforward, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions, and contribute across the full delivery lifecycle. Troubleshoot production incidents, investigate system behavior, and identify root causes. Participate actively in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and identify risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt while proposing pragmatic architectural improvements.
Collaborate with architects, technical leads, product owners, and frontend teams to design integrations and Backend for Frontend solutions. Serve as a technical reference for the team, sharing knowledge and supporting junior and mid-level developers.
Benefits
Benefits include health and dental coverage, meal and food allowances, childcare assistance, extended parental leave, life insurance, and profit-sharing. Employees can access fitness and wellness partnerships, online physical and mental health resources, and courses for pregnancy and responsible parenting. Professional development offerings include CI\&T University, online learning platforms, language-learning resources, and a discounts program. Additional benefits may also be available.
