Journeyman HVAC / Mechanical

Commercial Air Systems (CAS) is seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC / Mechanical professional to join our commercial construction team. Work includes installation and repair of heating and cooling systems. Candidates should be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and installation manuals; while representing Commercial Air Systems, LLC in a professional manner. Focus on safety and safety practices first and foremost at all task inceptions.

What You'll Do

• Install, coordinate, and repair commercial HVAC and mechanical systems per plans and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and installation manuals
• Install ductwork, equipment, and related piping following manufacturer instructions and CAS quality standards
• Fabricate offsets; size and measure ductwork and relay information to fabrication as needed
• Coordinate work with other trades to ensure proper installation, clearances, and function
• Report issues to the Foreman as they arise
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are on-site when needed and returned when not needed
• Inspect your work for progress, quality, and safety throughout the day
• Represent Commercial Air Systems professionally with customers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Follow all company safety procedures and keep safety the number one priority on every task
• Perform all other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years commercial experience in HVAC preferred
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of general ductwork, equipment, and piping installation
• General knowledge of systems operations and maintenance
• Ability to fabricate offsets and size/measure ductwork
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools
• Able to perform basic take-offs
• Able to install equipment following installation instructions
• Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity
• Good communication and math skills
• Stable work history
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Journeyman license preferred; trade school a plus
• Additional trade licenses and certifications a plus
