As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you will help build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our reporting and analytics capabilities. Working closely with senior engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, you will transform raw data from our Salesforce CRM, core lending systems, and third-party providers into clean, reliable, and well-documented data models. Your work will directly impact how the company understands loan performance, borrower behavior, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling \& Transformation
- Build and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake and PowerBI using SQL, Power Query (M), and DAX following dimensional modeling best practices
- Transform raw source data from Salesforce, loan origination systems, and payment processors into clean, analytics-ready datasets
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all data pipelines and models
- Document data models, table definitions, and business logic in a shared data catalog
Business Intelligence \& Reporting
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across lending, risk, finance, and operations
- Create self-service BI resources enabling business users to explore loan portfolio KPIs independently
- Partner with analysts to translate business questions into well-structured, performant queries and visuals
- Monitor dashboard performance and troubleshoot data discrepancies in a timely manner
Data Quality \& Governance
- Implement data quality checks and alerting to proactively identify pipeline issues
- Follow and contribute to data governance standards including naming conventions, access controls, and lineage tracking
- Participate in code reviews and help enforce engineering best practices
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role
- Proficiency in SQL - ability to write queries involving joins, aggregations, window functions, and CTEs
- Hands-on experience with Power BI including data modeling (star schema), Power Query, DAX measures, and report publishing
- Familiarity with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift)
- Familiarity with Encompass and Salesforce
- Basic understanding of Salesforce data objects and SOQL
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
- Knowledge of financial services or lending concepts (LTV, APR, delinquency, originations)
- Familiarity with Python for data manipulation, pipeline scripting, and custom visualizations
- Exposure to ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, or equivalent experience
