Key Account Manager - Foodservice - Coffee Chains

General Responsibilities:

  • The following are the key responsibilities of the Key Account Manager, though other duties may be assigned to meet business needs:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with food service distributors, brokers, and operators to promote and sell our products.
  • Travel to customer sites to build relationships and promote company products
  • Prospect new large volume customers and identify opportunities for product placement and distribution.
  • Develop and manage a broker network
  • Plan and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and meet company objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing and promotional activities
  • Provide product training and support to customers, including conducting product demonstrations and providing technical assistance.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote our products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activity to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities
  • Work closely with our marketing and product development teams to provide feedback and insights from the field.
  • Other duties as assigned

Competencies Required/Preferred:

Required:

  • 5-years or more experience in Foodservice sales
  • Familiarity and developed relationships with large operators in Florida
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in using Gmail \& Google Suite Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets)
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and can efficiently multitask
  • Currently, live or willing to relocate within driving distance to Broward County,
  • Florida preferred but not required

Preferred:

  • Currently residing in Florida as you will be meeting with customers in the area.

Education and Experience Required:

  • College diploma or equivalent and/or related experience and/or training.

Vehicles or Moving Equipment Driven as Part of Job:

  • Yes, occasional travel may require rental car usage.
  • Travel will mostly be in the Southeast United States
