Description

Enva Specialist Scotland is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join our team, based at our Paisley depot on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the successful applicant will participate in the analysis of inward, in-process, and outward materials, help to develop new or improved solutions, and share responsibility for general maintenance and calibration of Laboratory equipment and reagents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all Laboratory testing according to procedures
  • Carry out Laboratory calibrations according to procedures
  • Develop new processes and improve existing techniques
  • Help keep the Laboratory and equipment clean and tidy
  • Assist in carrying out Laboratory responsibilities in the plant
  • Complete paperwork in a neat and tidy manner.
  • Work on any technical R\&D function as instructed by line management.
  • Any further ad hoc duties as instructed by line management.

This is not an exhaustive list. You may also be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified/trained in that meet the requirements of this role

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Degree in Chemistry
  • Experience of working within a laboratory
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong IT skills including use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A genuine and visible H\&S understanding
