Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter / Carpenter to join our team and drive excellence in construction projects. In this role, you will lead carpentry crews, oversee project execution, and ensure quality craftsmanship across a variety of residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate carpentry teams on multiple construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing, trim, siding, roofing, and other carpentry tasks
- Perform precise measurements, cutting, assembly, and installation of fixtures such as cabinets, doors, windows, and custom millwork
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively to complete projects
- Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes while managing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials, plan schedules, and coordinate project phases for timely completion
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, roofing, siding installation, and remodeling projects
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, metal stud framing, drywall finishing, flooring installation (tile \& wood), and fixture installation
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), CNC machinery, and fabrication techniques
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team on construction sites while maintaining safety standards and quality control
- Experience with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration is a plus
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical work, masonry, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and water damage repair preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read schematics and work from detailed plans or technical drawings
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and work in various environmental conditions throughout the construction process
