THE ROLE

Live Nation Core Data Services is looking for a world-class Lead AI Development Experience Engineer to architect and build the foundational AI tooling and platform enabling teams across the organization to create, deploy, and manage AI agents, workflows, applications, and automations. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, developer tooling, productivity tools, and generative AI, focused on democratizing AI capabilities for both technical and non-technical users. We are a global org, and we need someone who is comfortable working across time zones.

This role requires experience on enterprise cross-functional teams and engineering expertise, with hands-on experience in generative AI tooling. You'll design and build the APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and workflows that make it effortless for both technical and non-technical teams to leverage AI capabilities, while ensuring production-grade reliability, observability, and security. You will also coach and lead teams as they implement AI-augmented processes in their daily work. In addition, you will build and maintain macro-scale ways in which our entire org can lead the broader business in AI adoption, always focused on data and data-driven product development.

This is a critical role on an entrepreneurial team with the resources, exposure, and customer base of the world’s leading live entertainment company. The person we're looking for will combine passionate engineering leadership with discipline and a keen attention to detail. We need a committed engineer who builds trust throughout the business. We need someone who delivers reliably against a roadmap and backlog, often supporting multiple initiatives, and who always publishes robust documentation along the way. This is a key role on a high-performing team, and it will be highly visible globally within our business.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Design and build tooling including APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and workflows that democratize AI capabilities for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Establish production-grade standards for reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence across all AI implementations.
  • Coach and lead cross-functional teams in implementing AI-augmented processes and workflows in their daily operations.
  • Create documentation, best practices, and enablement materials that accelerate AI adoption and reduce time-to-value.
  • Build feedback loops and measurement frameworks to track AI adoption, effectiveness, and ROI across the organization.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Data Engineering, Security, and other engineering functions to ensure smooth AI tooling deployments and maintenance.
  • Work with external third-party vendors to assess new partnership opportunities and/or evaluate existing solutions.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Strong engineering background (8\+ years) with proven ability to architect and build scalable platforms, CLIs, SDKs, APIs, and other developer tools.
  • 2\+ years hands-on experience building generative AI tooling including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and AI orchestration platforms; experience building full stack applications is a major plus.
  • Principal-level engineering judgment with ability to balance innovation, pragmatism, and production requirements; previous Data Engineering, BI, Analysis, and/or Full Stack Engineering experience is a plus.
  • Deep fundamental data engineering knowledge and architecture knowledge and experience, including full command of RDBMS, Spark/Flink, Event Bus (Kafka), Lucene (Elasticsearch), and Data Mesh implementation.
  • Experience in Databricks, including observability, monitoring, security, and reliability engineering practices on workflows and persistent data.
  • Expertise documenting tools and data products intended for self-serve usage by non-technical users.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interact and facilitate discussions with cross functional teams across the business.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple concurrent projects and tracking them all correctly in JIRA or other agile work management tools.
  • Willingness to work with cross-functional teams across time-zones and odd hours as necessary.
  • Technical coaching and enablement skills with ability to teach and guide teams through complex technology adoption.
  • Passion for live music and events is a plus.
  • Versatility to work across disciplines and unlock whatever capabilities are needed to make products successful; no job too big or too small mentality.
  • Optimism with drive, drive, drive.
