and is seeking a

Lead Mechanical Engineer

to support the delivery of complex, large‑scale data center projects across North America.

This position sits within a dedicated

data center hub

, delivering engineering solutions for hyperscale and colocation clients.

The Role

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of

mechanical system design and technical leadership

for mission‑critical facilities. You’ll play a key role in shaping resilient, energy‑efficient cooling strategies while working closely with multidisciplinary teams on fast‑paced data center programs.

This is a senior, client‑facing position with influence across design quality, delivery, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design for hyperscale and colocation data center projects
  • Develop and review cooling strategies including air‑ and liquid‑based systems
  • Design and oversee chilled water, DX, CRAH/CRAC, and heat‑rejection systems
  • Ensure designs align with redundancy, reliability, and scalability requirements
  • Coordinate with electrical, civil, and structural disciplines
  • Provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and peer reviews
  • Support client meetings, proposals, and technical presentations
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level mechanical engineers

Required Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 8\+ years

experience in mission‑critical or data center engineering

  • Strong understanding of

Tier III / Tier IV

data center design principles

  • Experience delivering large‑scale, high‑availability facilities
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, local building codes, and industry best practices
  • PE license or progressing toward licensure preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
