Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Leading all contracting \& procurement efforts to enable maximization of value efficiently and effectively from suppliers to meet business objectives.
- Negotiating Contracts/ Agreements for solar value Chain including setting up terms and conditions of business, enforceable laws \& regulations, and protection of the organization from potential losses from breach of contract.
- Plan, source, purchase and execute purchase orders to support operations and facilities in the most cost-effective manner.
- Manage order management, Spares inventory management, and service contracts, manpower contract management to ensure timely delivery of Spares and services.
- Scrap reconciliation \& disposal of scrap through auction as per group governance
- Resolve day-to-day supply chain and procurement issues working with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Manage purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation, PO follow up, goods/services receipt, supplier billing and purchase forecasting.
- Drive cost savings initiatives related to the manufacturing lines and other areas of the organization.
- Review and analyse purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services at competitive prices.
- Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the procurement budget and ensure that spending is within approved limits.
- Ensure that procurement activities are carried out in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in procurement.
Key Attributes (Experience, Qualifications, \& Skillsets)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in bidding forward and reverse auction
- Experience in setting up a new procurement team is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM modules and experience in using SAP.
- Knowledge about Indirect taxation and GST
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in managing supplier relationships and resolving supplier performance issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct market analysis and identify sourcing opportunities and risks.
- Self-starter attitude, ability to work independently with appropriate support and guidance, willing to challenge status quo and drive transformation where needed.
- High energy, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up business environment dealing with ambiguity
