Job Description
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to build relationships with new carrier partners and maintain existing long term partnerships. The Logistics Coordinator's role is to partner with carriers on moving our customers freight and meeting our customers expectations. Candidates must be able to have attention to detail, willingness to learn, and work well with a team. If you have a growth mindset and some hustle, this is your chance to be more than just a number. Responsibilities
- Inbound and outbound phone calls to facilitate freight coverage and bookings
- Develop and own carrier partnerships throughout the US
- Onboarding new carrier partnerships
- Arrange transportation and facilitate shipments
- Identify recurring shipments to match with dedicated carriers
- Rate Negotiation and selling company freight to carriers
- Track and trace progress of each shipment
- Assist accounting in collection final paperwork from carrier partners for each shipment
- Communicate updates to Sales and Account Management teams
- Field customer inquiries regarding shipment status or any related issues
- Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure accounts are being properly serviced.
- Troubleshooting issues with shipments throughout the shipping process
Qualifications
- Preferably minimum one year experience with a 3PL company
- Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Willing to learn and apply developed skills
- Great attitude a must
- Creative Problem Solver
- Organized and have ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work with different technology systems
- Excellent communication skills
