Job Description

About Us:

carGO Health is a specialized, 24/7/365 medical courier service dedicated to providing urgent, reliable, and patient-centered logistics (last mile delivery) solutions to the healthcare industry. We’re growing fast and are seeking an

Operations / Logistics Manager

who is ready to step in, take full ownership of daily operations, and scale our logistics engine.

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive, solutions-driven

Logistics Manager

to oversee the full day-to-day operations of our courier network, driver management, dispatching, and client communications. This is not just a "dispatcher" role — you will be the strategic and operational right-hand to the CEO, responsible for driving operational excellence, building team infrastructure, and improving service quality every day.

Working Directly with the CEO:

The CEO is looking for someone with strong logistics experience to

build, manage, and scale

the entire logistics operations at carGO Health.

The CEO will personally train you on the company’s proprietary logistics platform and will

hand off full day-to-day operational responsibility

to you. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Dispatching

client orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Managing client communications

related to order fulfillment and service updates.

  • Sourcing, onboarding, and managing

relationships with independent contractor couriers.

Your mission will be to

maintain and improve

the current operation while

building a scalable logistics engine

that can handle a much larger client base as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Operational Ownership:

Manage daily courier operations from driver assignment to delivery confirmation.

  • Dispatching Excellence:

Make strategic dispatch decisions based on order notes, driver status, and timelines — not just proximity.

  • Order Lifecycle Management:

Take full ownership of every order from placement to successful delivery.

  • Driver Recruitment \& Management:

Proactively recruit, onboard, and manage a strong network of independent couriers.

  • Process Optimization:

Use technology and operational tools to improve efficiency, eliminate repetitive tasks, and streamline workflows.

  • Service Quality Assurance:

Monitor and QA all order executions daily.

  • Client Communications:

Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries (call and email).

  • Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement operational improvements.

  • Shift Management:

Regularly review driver status, order activity, and shift transitions to ensure seamless operations. Make sure you are hiring drivers based on our needs 24/7/365\.

  • Leadership \& Ownership:

Solve problems proactively and manage operations like it’s your own business.

Availability \& Ownership Expectations:

  • You will be the

primary dispatcher and operations lead

during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm Eastern Time).

  • carGO Health operates in a

24/7/365 environment

, and as the owner of daily operations, you are expected to be

available on-call

outside of your core hours in case urgent issues arise.

  • You will be responsible for managing

other dispatchers

(currently: only 1 overnight dispatcher) and ensuring

full operational accountability

for every order, every day — whether or not you are actively on shift.

  • If an escalation, operational issue, or failure happens during off-hours,

it is your responsibility to step in, address the issue, and stabilize operations

.

  • This role is about

ownership, leadership, and accountability

— not just working assigned hours.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience hiring and managing independent contractors, is a must!
  • 2\+ years experience in logistics, dispatch operations, fleet management, healthcare courier services, or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn logistics platforms and dispatching systems.
  • Professional, clear communicator (both written and verbal).
  • Ownership mentality — sees problems and solves them proactively, without needing instruction.
  • Based in the NYC metropolitan area. You will have to meet and train drivers in-person close to or on-site of our client locations.
