To strengthen the site's supply chain organisation, they are seeking an experienced
Logistics Manager
to lead all logistics activities at their manufacturing facility.
The Opportunity
As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete logistics operation across the site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient material flow, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation performance while supporting customer service and business objectives.
You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, develop logistics processes, and build a high-performing logistics team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and optimise all inbound, internal, and outbound logistics activities.
- Ensure efficient material movement from goods receipt through to customer delivery.
- Manage transportation planning, loading and unloading operations, and overall logistics performance.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, warehouse utilisation, and stock management processes.
- Drive improvements across end-to-end supply chain and logistics workflows.
- Develop and maintain a robust logistics infrastructure capable of supporting future growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain responsibility for logistics-related equipment and automated warehouse systems.
- Monitor costs, service levels, and operational KPIs to ensure optimal performance.
Candidate Profile
- Degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven logistics leadership experience within an international manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial supply chain operations and end-to-end logistics processes.
- Experience implementing and maintaining automotive quality standards such as VDA and IATF.
- Demonstrated success in project management and process optimisation initiatives.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
- Hands-on approach combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive change and deliver results.
