Job Description
Integrum ESG's purpose is to make professional investors aware of how the companies in which they invest are managing ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues.
We do this by offering investors a subscription to our online SaaS Platform, which provides them with ESG data, insights and ratings on over 60,000 companies and 250,000 funds.
Integrum ESG uses publicly available sources, from which ESG data is surfaced and scored by our proprietary machine-learning and NLP models, and reviewed by our research team.
We provide bespoke investment analysis to aid with the construction of sustainability-focused funds, and we support our clients in their fulfilment of regulatory requirements and in understanding their ESG risks.

The Opportunity
Following the successful completion of a VC-led Series A funding round, we are seeking an experienced
Machine Learning Data Scientist
who is motivated by the opportunity to have a meaningful role in shaping the company's future.

You will report directly to the CTO - a vastly experienced individual from whom you will learn a great deal - as such there is opportunity to gain experience in cutting-edge NLP, advanced statistics and automated data flows while getting exposure to an important business area.
You will work closely with the CEO and CTO on continually improving the product, and you will have a direct impact on the product technical design and work in an autonomous, creative environment.

The package on offer includes a competitive salary of £75,000 or higher, flexible working hours, 25 days’ holiday and gym membership.
The working environment is hybrid - with up to 2 days per week work from home, with the remaining days spent in our offices in central London.
What we need to see from you (Essential Skills \& Experience)
- 3 years' post-graduation Python programming
- A STEM degree (upper-second or first class) from a well-regarded University and data engineering experience
- Pandas and scipy
- Data storage technologies and SQL
- Web technologies for fetching data
- Cloud deployment of industrial strength data code
- Testing strategies for all of the above
- Preparing data sets
- Building training and inference pipelines
- Setting up and conducting large-scale experiments to test hypotheses and drive product development
- Keeping up to date with state-of-the-art research, contributing to Machine Learning groups, and applying new techniques for NLP, image processing and similar
- Participating in team processes (agile methodologies, technical whiteboarding sessions, product road mapping and similar)

- NLP frameworks, such as Spacy, NLTK, Bert
- NoSQL databases

The Recruitment Process
Should your initial application be successful, the process will be as follows:
- Background / Introductory video call interview with the CTO
- Technical Test
- Technical interview with the CTO and the ML Lead
- One-to-one interview with the founder
You will also meet all other members of our tight-knit small team and be asked to sit a straightforward 40-minute multiple choice IQ test (verbal and non-verbal reasoning questions that one cannot revise for).
We appreciate there are more steps than many smaller firms require, we want to be sure you will be an excellent fit within our tight-knit team, and we are able to move through these steps in a short overall timeframe.
