Machine Learning Engineer

A fast-growing AI consultancy is hiring an

AI Engineer

to help design and build production AI systems for enterprise clients.

Working with organisations to develop AI-native products and intelligent data platforms, you’ll help architect scalable backend systems, integrate modern AI capabilities and build the technical foundations behind next-generation AI applications.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong Machine Learning background who enjoys building production systems rather than purely researching models.

What you’ll be doing

• Design and build scalable backend systems powering AI applications
• Develop APIs and microservices that integrate with modern AI and Machine Learning models
• Build production-ready AI solutions from architecture through to deployment
• Design secure database schemas and scalable cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure systems are robust, maintainable and production-ready
• Contribute to AI architecture, platform design and engineering best practices
• Help shape the technical direction of enterprise AI projects

What you’ll need

• 5\+ years’ commercial software engineering experience, ideally with significant exposure to AI and Machine Learning
• Strong background in Machine Learning and production AI systems
• Excellent backend engineering skills using Python, Node.js, Go or similar languages
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience deploying applications within AWS, Azure or GCP environments
• Strong understanding of scalable system architecture and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with enterprise clients
• Fluent English communication skills
