Shangri-La has been creating joyful moments through heartfelt hospitality since 1971 — and that spirit continues to guide us today. As we look ahead to new horizons, we invite you to be part of our growing Shangri-La family and make a meaningful impact on the world — through joy, shared purpose, and our Asian art of hosting.

About The Role

The Compensation \& Benefits Manager will lead the delivery of compensation, benefits, and payroll-related initiatives across a diverse MEIA portfolio, ensuring competitive, equitable, and compliant reward practices that support business objectives. The role partners closely with regional and hotel leadership to manage salary benchmarking, annual remuneration reviews, incentive and recognition programmes, job evaluations, benefits administration, and HR analytics, while providing commercially focused insights through advanced Excel modelling and reporting. In addition to reward responsibilities, the position will support a broad range of generalist HR activities, including employee relations, policy implementation, organisational changes, performance management, recruitment support, and regional HR projects, making it an ideal opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-country hospitality environment

Key Responsibilities

Compensation \& Benefits

  • Manage and administer compensation and benefits programmes across multiple countries.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and market-aligned pay practices.
  • Prepare salary proposals, compensation reviews, monthly payroll and incentive calculations.
  • Support the annual salary review, bonus, and long-term incentive processes.
  • Manage employee benefits programmes and liaise with brokers, vendors, and service providers to ensure effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Assist with workforce planning, headcount analysis, budgeting, and labour cost management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local legislation, tax regulations, and governance requirements.
  • Maintain compensation structures, job grades, and HR data accuracy within HR systems.
  • Produce regular reports, dashboards, analytics, and executive presentations for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance reporting efficiency and data integrity.

HR Generalist Support

  • Provide support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee movements, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Assist with HR projects, policy development, and process improvements.
  • Support employee relations matters when required, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies.
  • Support talent management processes including succession planning, performance management, and workforce planning activities.
  • Provide HR reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making across the region.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Compensation \& Benefits, ideally within hospitality, retail, aviation, healthcare, or another multi-site, multi-country environment.
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles, salary benchmarking, job evaluation, incentive programmes, and benefits administration.
  • Experience supporting multiple countries and an understanding of international compensation and benefits practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience with salary surveys and market data providers such as Mercer, RHI, Willis Towers Watson, Korn Ferry, Aon, or similar is an advantage.
