ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Leading Global Oilfield Manufacturer seeks an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to join their leadership team in Rosenberg, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of manufacturing projects — from initial concept through execution and closeout — within a collaborative, safety-focused environment. The person who steps into this position will play a key role in building out the project management team and is expected to take on formal management responsibilities in the near future.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for managing manufacturing-focused projects from initial concept through execution and completion. This role oversees the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and systems to ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality requirements, budget constraints, and delivery timelines.

Working closely with established plant leadership and cross-functional teams — including Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and Sales — this role drives process optimization, supports production efficiency, and ensures projects are delivered safely and effectively while partnering closely with peer managers to align on priorities."

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management \& Execution

  • Manage manufacturing projects end-to-end, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery
  • Monitor project progress; address risks, constraints, and scope changes as they arise

Engineering \& Technical Oversight

  • Create, review, and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and documentation
  • Ensure specifications comply with applicable standards, regulations, and internal requirements
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks within designs, specifications, or manufacturing methods

Manufacturing Process Optimization

  • Evaluate and improve fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Support the selection of appropriate manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment
  • Recommend and implement best manufacturing practices where appropriate

Collaboration \& Communication

  • Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to align on project objectives
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients on specifications, progress, and technical issues
  • Support cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth transitions from design to production

Documentation \& Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including specifications, reports, schedules, and change records
  • Provide regular project status updates to management and key stakeholders

  • Competitive salary depending on experience: $115-125K\+

QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field with advanced certifications such as PMP are preferred
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Project Manager, with Oil \& Gas / pipeline experience a huge plus
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design practices, and relevant industry standards
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and machining processes
  • Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Must have strong inventory management and control experience
  • Must have strong experience with Excel spreadsheets
