Mixed is a Brooklyn-based DTC printwear brand designing everyday statementwear that inspires you to live in full color. We are a fast-growing, founder-led brand entering a new stage of scale and hiring our first dedicated marketing hire to own content, community, and brand marketing across channels.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Marketing Manager to be the creative and operational backbone of Mixed's marketing. Your primary focus is organic social content, including strategy, creation, and posting. You will also support campaign photoshoots, own gifting and partnerships, support events, and manage email approvals with our agency. This is a hands-on, in-person role, for someone who loves bringing brands to life online and in-person. You are not managing a team—you are the team. You will work closely with the founder to build and execute the marketing engine that takes Mixed to its next stage of growth.

What You'll Own

Organic Content (Primary Focus)

  • Own the Instagram organic content strategy and publishing calendar
  • Film and capture short-form and static content independently using iPhone (provided), in-studio, on location, and on set during brand moments
  • Leverage our rolodex of creators and videographers and use your own
  • Partner with the founder to create founder-led content that aligns with the brand
  • Maintain a consistent volume of posts per week without sacrificing quality
  • Monitor organic performance weekly and use insights to improve content hit rate
  • Take accountability for audience growth, engagement, reach, and overall content quality

Campaign \+ Photoshoot Support

  • Support planning and execution of seasonal campaign shoots including ecomm, lifestyle, and features
  • Coordinate shoot logistics: talent sourcing, location scouting, sample preparation, and call sheets
  • Be on set as a hands-on collaborator: styling support, content capture, and creative problem-solving
  • Ensure campaign assets are delivered on time and repurposed across organic, email, and paid channels

Gifting \+ Partnerships

  • Own the creator and press gifting program, including identifying recipients, coordinating sends, tracking results
  • Build and maintain relationships with creators, stylists, editors, and cultural figures who align with the brand
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that grow Mixed's visibility and community

Events

  • Help plan and coordinate brand events including launches \& community activations
  • Capture or coordinate content capture at events for use across channels

Email

  • Review and approve email campaigns from our agency, ensuring brand voice and visual consistency
  • Flag opportunities for email content tied to launches, brand moments, and organic content

Who You Are

  • A natural creator. You shoot high-quality content on an iPhone with strong instincts for lighting, framing, and pacing
  • A connector with a network of creators, videographers, and cultural figures you can tap into
  • 4–6 years of experience in DTC, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or creator-led brands
  • Comfortable on camera, behind the camera, or both
  • Experienced in photoshoot production—you've been on set and know how to make a shoot day run smoothly
  • Organized enough to manage gifting, events, and agency coordination
  • Excited by a founder-led environment where speed, judgment, and initiative matter
  • Based in or near Brooklyn and available to be on-site daily

  • Comfortable at the idea level without owning execution through to publish
  • Overwhelmed by a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities in motion
  • Purely brand-minded without understanding performance, or purely performance-minded without strong creative judgment
