Job Description

Job Summary:

The Charlotte office of Arnold \& Smith, PLLC seeks a Marketing Specialist to support and advance the firm’s marketing, content, digital advertising, reputation management, and community engagement efforts. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketer who can create and publish content, manage digital platforms, coordinate marketing projects, monitor campaign performance, and help strengthen the firm’s brand presence across multiple practice areas. This role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, comfort with social media and digital tools, and the ability to work closely with firm leadership, attorneys, intake staff, and outside vendors to ensure marketing efforts support the firm’s growth goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Represent the firm online and offline with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
  • Manage and monitor firm social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Nextdoor, and Google Business Profiles.
  • Create, schedule, and publish social media content, including posts, reels, videos, graphics, announcements, and promotional materials.
  • Film and photograph content with attorneys and staff on a regular basis for use in social media, website, and advertising campaigns.
  • Edit short-form video, graphics, and other promotional content for firm marketing channels.
  • Manage online reviews and reputation management efforts, including monitoring comments, messages, reviews, and engagement opportunities.
  • Publish and maintain blog, website, attorney biography, firm announcement, landing page, and other digital content as needed.
  • Assist with SEO-related updates, website performance reviews, and coordination with outside marketing vendors.
  • Monitor Google Ads, Meta Ads, Local Service Ads, and other digital advertising activity, including lead generation metrics and campaign performance.
  • Track, organize, and report marketing performance data, including website traffic, campaign results, referral activity, and lead generation trends.
  • Coordinate with intake staff regarding marketing-generated leads and help identify opportunities to improve lead quality and follow-up.
  • Manage firm email distribution lists, marketing automation initiatives, and external client newsletter distribution.
  • Maintain legal directory and attorney profile listings, including platforms such as Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, Super Lawyers, and similar services.
  • Coordinate branding-related projects, including promotional products, signage, giveaways, sponsorship materials, and branded collateral.
  • Assist with firm events, community sponsorships, referral relationship initiatives, attorney speaking engagements, recruiting events, summer associate events, and other firm marketing opportunities.
  • Handle marketing requests from attorneys and firm leadership while helping organize priorities, deadlines, and project status.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent reading, writing, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills, with the ability to produce polished public-facing content.
  • Strong working knowledge of major social media platforms and current content formats, including short-form video and graphics.
  • Ability to create, edit, and publish digital content with consistent branding and professional quality.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing recurring content calendars, marketing deadlines, and multiple projects at once.
  • Comfort reviewing analytics, advertising results, lead generation reports, and website performance data.
  • Strong attention to detail when updating websites, attorney profiles, directories, newsletters, and public-facing firm information.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, staff, vendors, referral partners, and community contacts.
  • Must work well in a collaborative team-based environment while also being self-directed and accountable for assigned projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior marketing experience required, preferably in a professional services, legal, healthcare, financial, or similarly regulated environment.
  • BS or BA in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing business social media accounts and creating content for multiple platforms preferred.
  • Experience with email marketing, newsletter platforms, marketing automation tools, or CRM-related marketing systems preferred.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Business Profiles, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Local Service Ads, or similar advertising and analytics platforms preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress or other website content management systems preferred.
  • Experience with design, photo, or video editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Legal industry experience is helpful but not required.
