Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Power Transformers of Business to join their team in Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformer 400 kV Class design covering different countries.
• Responsible to generate active part and windings/ Tank \& Externals meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE standards.
• Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing drawings, Bill of materials etc \& submission to customer as per project schedule.
• Understanding of Transformer mechanical design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics
• Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.
• Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• 4-8 working in Mechanical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.
• Knowledge on CAD software, any 3D Modelling software is a must. Creo is considered as an advantage.
• Should understand Transformer Design, Mechanical Calculations, Dielectrics, clearance/creepage, basic layout and cleats lead arrangement.
• Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards \& Canadian Standards
• Experience in winding design / Tank \& externals is an advantage
• Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
• Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.
• Proficiency in both spoken \& written English language is required.
